How to Volunteer

1. Application
Complete your application either online or print the application form and mail it to Marin County School Volunteers, P.O. Box 4925, San Rafael, CA 94913.

2. Orientation
Call 499-5896 to schedule an orientation. Check the Orientation schedule below. If you don’t see a date that works for you, we will find another time to meet with you.

3. Personal Interview
Your personal interview is part of your orientation.  
4. Personal References (2)
Print two reference forms from the website and give them to two people to fill out and send to us. If you prefer, call us and we will send you the forms.

5. TB Clearance
All volunteers are required to have a TB Test within the last four years. If you have had a negative TB screening within the last four years, simply provide us with a copy of it. If you need a TB test, you can get one from your private physician or go to the Marin County Public Health Department.

6. Fingerprint Clearance
Fingerprint forms will be available at the orientation. We will pay for your fingerprint scan
